Tips for young writers: blog tour day 4

DAY FOUR. Rebecca Newman interviews Davide Cali on the Alphabet Soup kids magazine’s blog. They discuss his being a librarian during his National Service in Italy, creating The Bear with the Sword, and Rebecca also gets his tips for young writers. Says Cali:

I think reading is just like feeding yourself. And you know, writing is just like feeding others. So, how can you feed others if you don’t eat first?

Alphabet Soup is an Australian magazine for children aged 6 to 12 who love books and creative writing. You can view a sample copy of the magazine and place and order here.

The Davide Cali blog tour is taking place from 1 to 15 May, as a countdown to Davide’s first visit to Australia from 16 to 28 May. Every day, some of Australia’s most interesting book bloggers will be posting interviews with him, reviewing his books, offering giveaways and maybe giving a sneak peak of his award-winning new book, 10 Little Insects.

You can check out the full blog tour here.
